Kastrup Airport (IATA: CPH, ICAO: EKCH), officially known as Copenhagen Airport Kastrup, is the main international airport serving the city of Copenhagen as well as the whole regions of Zealand and Oresund, and a large part of the south of Sweden. 


Copenhagen Airport is the largest airport in Scandinavia and Nordic countries and one of the oldest in Europe. It is located just 8 kilometers (5 miles) south from Copenhagen city center, in the municipality of Tarnby (in Amager island) and 24 kilometers (15 miles) west of Malmö, in Sweden.

The Airport was once just called Kastrup Airport, as it is located in the town of Kastrup, which was absorbed by the municipality of Tarnby. However, the official name of the Airport is Copenhagen Airport Kastrup to not to confuse it with Roskilde Airport, also named Copenhagen Airport Roskilde.

Kastrup Airport has all the world’s major airlines represented and is the main hub of major companies such as Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle. It is also a focus city for DAT, Air Greenland, Jettime, Finnair and SunClass Airlines.

In 2024, Copenhagen Airport handled a total of 29,9 Million passengers.
