Copenhagen Airport Kastrup – Metro

Want to get from Copenhagen Airport to the city centre in a fast and cheap way? Then take it for sure: Metro is your ideal option! Metro and train fares are the cheapest ones regarding public transport.

M2 line (yellow line) is the one which links the airport with Copenhagen city centre. The trip takes a total time of 15 minutes.

It has a higher frequency than train, so if you want to avoid long wait, just take the metro!

The metro trains are totally driverless and have a daily frequency of 3 minutes on rush hours, while out of rush hours, as well as weekends, every 6 minutes.

From Sunday to Thursday, from midnight to 5:00 am runs every 20 minutes.

To get to city centre by metro you just need to ride M2 line till Nørreport Station, which is the central metro station of Copenhagen.

If you wish to transfer to M1 line (green line), you do so in either Christianshavn and Nørreport station which comprises M2 line trip.

To get to Copenhagen Central Railway Station, you would better take the train from the Airport, since there isn’t a metro station.

Location

You can take the metro at Terminal 3. It is located two floors above the Railway Station.

You need to purchase a 3-zone ticket to get to the city centre.

Fares for a one-way ride is of DKK 36.00.
